The Switch

As soon as I tell you guys I'm going to do something I inevitably do something else. I don't intend on jumping ship so to speak but I think I know why I do it. I follow the information available. I'm a poker knowledge junkie. I am fortunate enough to have poker friends in various areas of the game that are quite good at what they do. I can't tell you enough that having access to people in the poker community is essential for advancing your game.
I'll throw in my MTT graph just for fun. I know I like graphs!

After you stop laughing at the volume I put in I'll continue...

Not done? I'll wait it's ok...

Haha, ok. I'm back to playing cash and honestly I'm better than I ever was. My thought process is much better postflop. I reached one of those epiphany moments a month ago that as we get better and better seem to be few and far between. That feeling you get when you get there is exhilarating. Like you could crush anyone if just for a while. As the information processes and you settle into your new skills, you then once again realize that with every leap in knowledge you can see even more out there that you don't know.

I tried to find a photo of a dude at the top of a mountain seeing another bigger mountain ahead but this seemed ok too.

As for the cash games I have made a prop bet for the rest of the month. We will both try to play 10k hands in 10 days. Easy enough for a real cash game grinder but we both stick to about 4 tables at the moment so its enough to keep us busy. Also thrown in is a small bonus to the one with the highest profit. It will have to be in bb's though as I play higher stakes. Here is the lovely graph so far.

Somehow started by dumping 5 buy ins. A couple lost flips all in preflop and a set under set will do that. However it looks like its turning around. For the month I will most likely continue playing 25nl. Though I plan on moving up when my pain tolerance adjusts and I "feel" capable. Lord knows I'll never play 100k hands at 25nl to get some idea of an actual win rate.

Play well and run well guys... till next time!
